Play hard. Play Safe. You mix it up any which way." These are the words that Blue Cross of California uses to describe its new Tonik "Part-Time Daredevil - AKA 3,000" medical insurance plan. The California Blue Cross health insurance Part-Time Daredevil plan has a $3,000 annual deductible and allows four doctor office visits prior to paying the deductible. A member would pay $30 for each doctor office visit, which covers when a doctor or medical practitioner:
The member will pay for any doctor's office charges for services other then these history, diagnosis, and recommendation for treatment, such as x-ray, lab work, hospitalization. One of the benefits of this plan is that the $3,000 calendar year deductible is the same as the annual Out of Pocket Maximum (OOP). The Part-Time Daredevil is an extremely low cost plan. Most people in California between the ages of 19 and 29 will pay only $73 per month. As with any health insurance plan, Blue Cross reminds people that they "can cancel at any time." The plan covers generic prescription medicine that is on Blue Cross' formulary. As one of the three Tonik health plans, the Part-Time Daredevil is geared towards young uninsured people. People who play extreme sports: sky diving, rock climbing, cross country motorcycle and bicycle riding, surfing and snow and skateboarding. Healthy, young uninsured people have no reason not to enroll in this California Blue Cross Health Insurance plan. The Tonik plans speak their language.
